French textile publishing house
History of a Creation House
Rajaï SAFADI and his son Ezzat founded in 1992 the company SAFATEX in Marseille, specialized in trading in fabrics.
Three years later, they decided to accelerate the development of the business and created "Tissages Safadi Rhodaniens", their own weaving factory located in Gillonnay in Isère. In 1998 the company was restructured. Safatex then becomes Safeco, whose objective is to publish and market the fabrics produced by TSR.
Ten years later, continuing its expansion, SAFECO, moved to Aix en Provence. In 2010 with the arrival of Alexandre and Sarah, Ezzat's children, Safeco participates in its first Heimtextil show in Frankfurt, a new tool that allows an opening to international customers. Since then, the company has been present at various trade shows: Heimtextil Russia, Frankfurt, Atlanta, Maison&Objets Paris..
Today the Group represents 50 looms in large width, 2 million meters of fabric produced per year, more than 3000 references, jacquards, prints, fireproof fabrics, leatherette, outdoor, etc. ..
Both traditional and trendy, Safeco's collections are recognized for the quality of their jacquards and the originality of their designs.
French Weaving
SAFECO has its own weaving factory "Tissages Safadi Rhodaniens", its dyeing plant and its design studio.
The fleet of about fifty looms allows the French manufacture of jacquard fabrics and perpetuates a "house" know-how fiercely preserved.
The design studio in Saint-Cannat is made up of textile designers who are both thread crossers and draftsmen and colorists. Patterns, textures, weaves, shiny threads, mixed linens, embroidered effects; here everything is invented, combined and adapted to give life to a desire, a trend, a unique atmosphere!
Weaving and design studio are in close collaboration and allow a great flexibility, and an essential reactivity which make SAFECO the "French Weaver"
